A site devoted to The Nativity
What began as a childhood love for Nativity scenes that were printed on that most lowly of media — paper — has blossomed, through Crechemania.com, into a community of enthusiasts that spans the globe.
So many decades later, my love for The Nativity has not diminished, and, just a few days ago I was thrilled to discover a gilt-wood, carved nativity, in the Basilica of St. Francis Xavier, in the small town of Dyersvillle, Iowa.
You'll find the account of my visit to the Basilica in my Blog, where you'll also be able to watch videos that highlight just two of the Basilica's treasures — a carved-wood Nativity and four other equally beautiful panels, including the Annunciation; and a luminous stained-glass window of The Adoration of the Magi.
But there's so much more to Crèchemania.com, including our Crèche Gallery; profiles of Enthusiasts and their collections; and Free Downloads of vintage paper nativities that you can print and assemble.
You'll find it all in the navigation bar at left — and on our Home Page — whose self-explanatory images
will help you easily navigate our site.
Enjoy, and let me hear from you!
