    Hi Celso,

    Yes... quite right.
If you remove a picture from your website or change the absolute path (in any way) the picture will disappear from the comment and you will see a missing image icon (shown in the screen shot below).

But the same would happen if you posted an image in your personal album or group album and then deleted that image (we'll talk more about albums in my next blog post).

So if you (or anyone) posts an image to a comment, you should make sure that the image isn't going to disappear from its original source/location.

BTW... I hope it was OK that I used this image (of your mother's nativity) as an example. If it isn't, please let me know and I'll remove it.

    Thank you.

Ok, let's say I remove this picture from my website or if I change the link address, what is going to happen with the picture on my post here?

    Thanks
    Celso
P.S. This picture shows my mother's Nativity. These figures have more than 45 years old.

    Hi Celso,

I'm glad to hear that you figured out how to do that.

I'd very much like to hear from any of the friends of Crechemania who are on any version of Windows to find out if spell checking is included at the OS level and made available through their browsers.

If you're not on a Mac, please let us know how/if this works for you.

    Thank you.

Just a question. I understood that all new images that I want show in my comments (images that are not in any place on this site), I will have first to upload in my album and then link to my post? Is it correct or there is another way to do it?

Your explanation above would not be more clear.

    Thank you!

    Hi Celso,

That's a good question. And the actual answer is No... although what you are suggesting is a good idea for users as well.

If you had an image on your website (for instance) all you would need to do is to insert the image source in the window that appears when you click the Insert Image button (found on the toolbar in the Message window in the Post a Comment screen).

So I guess what I'm saying is that as long as the image lives somewhere online (and you have the right to duplicate that image) all you have to do is supply an absolute path (i.e. http://www.amigosdopresepio.org/images/Historia/Mae92.jpg from your own website). That image would then show up like this (see the image below).

If you don't have a website of your own... then using the albums would be another great way to put an image on the web and get an absolute path for the image source information.

    Is this clear?

    Thanks.

Hi Benjamin. I'm also a Mac addict and have turned the built-in spell check from my Mac from Portuguese to English.
    Thanks for this tip too.

    Best wishes

Hello Benjamin, hope you are doing fine.

Thank you for your initiative to teach us on how to use some features of this site.
Talking about features, is there a tool that is very handy for us, foreigners it is the spell check. Is it possible turn it available on "Post a Comment" box?

Thank you and keep up the good job here.

    Cheers!

    Hi Celso,

It is good to hear from you again.

Unfortunately there isn't a spell check button in either the simple or advanced posting options with the website software.

We're a little spoiled here... all using Macs. Both FireFox and Safari (on the Mac) utilize the built-in spell check option (contextual available) from the Mac OS itself.

If you're on a PC you might try FireFox for the PC to see if it has something similar.

I'll also do some research to see if there is a spell check module that we can add the to site.

    All my best.

    Hi Alexis,

Thank you so much. I hope that Crechemania.com users will find this useful.

I will be posting more articles about how to use this site in the next week.

For those of you who've read this blog post... I've included a new sidebar addition to my blog called "Benjamin's Quick Links" to help you get to some of the features of the site.

    All my best.

    Hello Benjamin,

    This is so wonderful!

I know our fellow Crèchemaniacs will find our very first Crèchemania Blog Primer most helpful as well.

Will you, when you get the chance, explain some of the other features of our Blog which may not be obvious at first glance? For example: how to find someone's Album; how to send a message to another user; or how to format your comments.

    How can I thank you?

How about if I scout the model universe for another Pompeian House? We can put it together—and have all that fun all over again!
