A less-elaborate version of the Post Crèche, L'Institut Canadien de Quebec—No. 9 nativity nevertheless features similar construction. The gilded, palm-tree front is folded in half down the center, and the cut-out walls are joined to form the back wall. Into this manger is slotted the Virgin and Child and Joseph pieces, creating a nice 3-D effect.
