While these charming little houses were intended for model railroad enthusiasts—and thus labeled "HO" scale—why not use them as Christmas decorations? All you need to to is cut out all the window panes, including the round one in the attic, and attach—with a few drops of glue—cellophane on the wrong side of the walls. I used a gold color here, but red, mauve, or green would work as well. Illuminating your Baroque House: For a magical touch, you can leave one of the back windows sans cellophane, so you can insert a tiny LED bulb, and give your ornament life. Caution: Please do not use old-type, non LED bulbs in the paper house, because— even at the smallest wattage—of the danger of fire. |
