You don't have to be a paper nativity aficionado to love this pop-up nativity.
It's a delight to behold, with its high altar pierced by Gothic arches and bright-red stained glass windows.
A honeycomb creates a canopy, and below, two angels stand in reverence.
Four steps lead to the high altar, where The Nativity is set, a splash of color among the white of the altar and the lilies of the valley that bloom on either side.
Three Wise Men with their gifts, and three Shepherds with their lambs are pictured behind the altar arches, but their hard to see in the two-dimensional photo, above.
With the flick of the wrist, this large nativity folds flat — ready to be mailed in the envelope provided.

An echo of the pastThe Altar Natvity bears many similarities to the Church Nativity from the Crèchemania Collection (shown at left).
As a manger, both feature a monochromatic altar and church, one full of baby's breath blooms, the other dripping with climbing red roses.
Both feature Gothic windows, arches, peaks, and steps that lead up to The Nativity.
The only difference is the artwork: The Altar Nativity is painted in life-like oils, while the Church Nativity has a pen-and-ink, hand-colored feel.
Both are a delight to the eyes, and it's too bad that we can offer only one.
