It's hard to believe this lovely nativity is made up of just one sheet.
Side panels are cut out and folded to join at the center back, creating a pavilion-like manger supported by two slender columns.
It's impossible to see the lovely rendering of the figures in this small scale. You'll have to mouseover the second thumbnail (above, right) to appreciate the beautiful art.
Up front, a Shepherd kneels by a picket fence, and at left back a man in oriental dress is holding a walking stick.
Next to him, behind the manger, stands a woman, and to the right Mary tenderly rocks the Baby in her arms while Joseph, hands crossed, sits in a bale of hay. |
